Durasthi refers to correcting errors in survey or land records — for example a wrong measurement, a mistaken boundary or a clerical error in the sketch. It restores the record to what it should be.

When durasthi is used

When a survey sketch or measurement is demonstrably wrong, when boundaries were recorded incorrectly, or when an obvious clerical error needs fixing in the official record.

How it works

An application is made to the survey department with supporting records. The department verifies, often re-measures, and updates the record if the correction is justified.

Is durasthi the same as phodi?

No. Phodi divides a parcel; durasthi corrects an error in the existing record.
